Michael is the brother of John Conlow, the first sergeant killed at Wilderness. Family research has Michael as his brother and they belonged to St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Manayunk, Philadelphia, PA. Michael later became a Philadelphia fireman. His father, Patrick*, was in the 88th PA and was killed at Antietam. His brother Bernard* was in the 28th PA Co. C and survived the war. They had two other brothers who were in service as well.
